The idea for forming a choir featuring singers from around the East Midlands germinated some time in the mid-2000s, when several singers from Nottingham realised how much fun they had singing under their own auspices! Finally, the idea got off the ground in 2014, when they realised they needed more singers, and so a social media campaign was organised to attract members for the inaugural concert. Barring a slight delay due to a cycling accident, the choir was born in the intimate space of Trent College Chapel, with a programme of Schütz, J.S. Bach and Rheinberger to raise money for the College's Kenyan Schools Partnership and the Jessica Hope Foundation.
As well as being a roaring success, the choir enjoyed themselves immensely, and would love to hear from you if you wish to sing with them; check out the tabs at the top of the page.
