The choir thoroughly enjoyed their long weekend to beautiful St. David's to
sing in the cathedral there. Walking, wine and wailing were mixed in equal
measure in and around Great Britain's most westerly mainland cathedral.

Concert: The Empty Tomb, St Mary's R.C. church, Bridge Gate, Derby
A concert raising money for Derby Refugee Forum, featuring music
for the season of Eastertide, including 10-part motets by Lassus and
Hieronymus Praetorius, Macmillan's Christus Vincit, and Thomas
Crequillon's masterpiece Congratulamini mihi, alongside favourites
by Byrd, Palestrina, Gibbons and Wood.

wonderful concert you did in aid of Refugees and Asylum Seekers.
The singing was absolutely beautiful and I know the people who attended
on behalf of the Forum all really enjoyed it."

Concert: Toward the Western Light, St Thomas the Apostle, Wigston, Leicester
A concert raising money for Leicestershire charity Coping with Cancer,
featuring Manuel Cardoso's Missa Pro Defunctis and other appropriate
motets for All Saints and Souls.

Residency: Cathedral and Collegiate Church of St Mary, St Denys and St George, Manchester
A group of 20 Mercians gathered together in Manchester to provide music for the Cathedral's services over the weekend, accompanied once again by Ben Giddens on the brand new Stoller Organ, built by Tickell & co.

Carolling on a Tram
6 intrepid Mercians embarked on an epic journey of tramming courtesy of NET to raise money for Framework. A little bit of heckling and lots of generosity later, we raised £134.59, and enjoyed a well-deserved pint afterwards!
